Spain

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to eat at the oldest restaurant in the world? It is located in the capital of a Southern European country.

This country is Spain.

Spain is a massive country in Southern Europe, and is the only European country that shares a physical border with Africa. Spanish has the second-most native speakers of any language in the world, and its influence can still be seen all through Europe, Latin America, the United States, and parts of Asia. In fact, Spain was the first country that claimed to have an empire that reached so far that the sun never fully set on it.

Having been dominated by Arab Muslims for over 500 years, Spain has a vibe to it that is unlike any other place in Europe. Its capital city of Madrid is popular among tourists, but not nearly as popular as the coastal city of Barcelona! Barcelona is one of the most exciting cities we have ever visited in Europe, and its beaches are almost as good as its seafood. Other very popular destinations in Spain include the southern city of Seville and the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza.
